Welcome to the new Website, I hope you are finding your way around easily and will tell others about it.

NEW CD FROM Jerry Butler and band mate John Wade

I am proud to tell you about our new Blue Circle Records CD Haulin Grass. John and I have been hard at work in Franklin, TN in Tom T and Ms Dixie Hall's studio putting our touch to this trucker influenced project. The selection of music includes a Del Reeves classic  "Looking at the World Through a Windshield", John Denver's "Back Home Again", and three original songs penned by Tom T. and Ms Dixie. Other tracks include "The Road I'm On" by Steve Thomas and Dale Puckett, "Worth The Ride" by Mike Evans and traditional Bluegrass with "18 Wheels". Also included on the project is one of Lester Flatt's old tunes "Backing To Birmingham" and as an added track there's a version as maybe Lester would have sung it.

John and I were joined by some of the very best in Bluegrass Music with Kenny Ingram on banjo, Ron Stewart on fiddle, Chris Harris on mandolin, Matt Leadbetter on dobro, and vocal contributions by Steve Gulley and Melissa Lawrence. We appreciate the engineering work and many hours by Troy Engle and all the folks at Good Home Grown Music for making this happen.

We are looking forward to it's release this summer and hope you will be too.

Jerry and John would like you to join us and welcoming Jason Fraley on mandolin and tenor vocal. Jason is form the Charlotte, NC area and has been performing with the band Deeper Shade of Blue. Jason will continue to play some dates with them as The Blu-J's are building a full time schedule. We are excited to have him join in and are looking forward to working side by side. His attitude is positive and he is an easy going fellow with lots of energy which will add to the entertainment we will be bringing to the stage

We would also like to add Brad Hudson to the team. Brad is a multi instrumentalist and vocalist. We are excited to have him playing dobro and bringing his love for Bluegrass music to the stage with us. Help us in welcoming him to the Blu-J's.
